Did you know?  The Merlot is a black berry grape variety, whose name comes from the particular predilection that the blackbird (in French merle) has for its berries.

Often blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, it is one of the so-called "international" French vines, the most cultivated in all parts of the world, also thanks to its high adaptability.
